Description Handmade in Lanzarote A rhizome is a root system that grows horizontally and stores nutrients to facilitate plant development. The older tree protects and teaches the younger ones. It is an amazing example of interdependence and communication. In famaraspirt’s Rhizome collection we are inspired by these textures and connections that can only occur in nature and to recreate them in our pieces. These hoop earrings reproduce an organic network with an irregular and imperfect pattern that gives the piece a unique and original character. They are made in 930 silver in our workshop in Famara. Their design has been possible thanks to the combination of different arts that we know and practice. In the creation of these pieces we use sculptural techniques, but also draw on the arts of movement. Dance, like the observation of nature, allows us to perceive the world from different perspectives and to create meaningful connections between people. These points of contact, this connected life, is also represented in the intricate textures that these pieces reproduce. The result is more than a mere accessory, it is a piece of art with which we present ourselves to the world.
